ACT Feed in Tariff, Australia - Commercial Case Study

This case study shows that the gross feed in tariff structure will provide commercial property owners a vehicle for investing in the properties and generating pre income tax annual return in excess of 19%. The incentive structure also allows building owners to improve the marketability of their leased space by fixing electricity costs for the tenant and utilising carbon free electricity on site. in many cases we would expect these returns to be enhanced by a greater recognition of the long term value solar power systems add to commercial properties. In the meantime, even the simple cash returns start above 11% per annum.
