Motueka, New Zealand - 1.71 kW Solar - Off Grid - Residential

Installation Info:

Powersmart designed and installed this off grid solar power system for a home owner in Motueka. The system was installed on a pole mount to obtain the optimum tilt angle and aspect for maximum energy production. Powersmart provided all of the necessary drawings for council consent and provided free technical support during the consultation and system design process.

King Island, TAS, Australia - 1.5 kW Solar - Off Grid - Residential

Installation Info:

This customer contacted Powersmart while renovating their family retreat on King Island, Tasmania. Powersmart designed and installed a solar power system that utilised their existing solar equipment and allowed for easy future expansion of the power centre. The solar modules and roof mounting system are designed for King Island's extreme coastal environment and can withstand cyclone wind conditions.

King Island, TAS, Australia - 2.7 kW Solar, 6 kW Wind - Off Grid - Residential

Installation Info:

Powersmart worked directly with the property owner, builder, and architect to design and install a power system for 3 homes on King Island, Tasmania. A custom built power shed was designed to house all of the equipment. The solar panel framing and wind turbine are designed for King Islands harsh weather and are rated for cyclone wind conditions.

Charlottetown, Canada - 107.8 kW Grid Connected - Commercial

Installation Info:

The Canadian federal government funded this large commercial grid connect system to help achieve LEED gold certification for the building under Canada's green building rating system. Powersmart's engineers managed the installation and commissioning of the system. The modules were assembled onto a single plane and lifted onto the building by crane.

Toronto, Canada - 100.4 kW Grid Connected - Commercial

Installation Info:

The City of Toronto funded this commercial grid connect system with the idea of increasing the array up to 1 MW in the future. The design included a ballasted roof mounting system that minimised roof penetrations. Two different solar modules were supplied so the city could evaluate two different technologies. Powersmart's engineers managed the installation and commissioning of the system.

Installation Info:

This remote island customer required an off grid solar system to power their main dwelling plus two smaller homes. Powersmart's engineers designed and installed this sophisticated solar power system. It provides power year round and seamlessly integrates with the customer's existing diesel generator.

Alberta, Canada - 30 x 2.64 kW Solar and 61 x 220W Solar - Off Grid - Commercial

Installation Info:

The Alberta government required power for their provincial forest fire monitoring network. They setup up 91 remote sites across the province with an off grid solar power system at each site. Powersmart's engineers managed the installation and commissioning of the systems. Each system was pre-assembled and then commissioned on site.
